A one-person studio called chbnk

Built by one human
and one very busy fox.

Jomi is a solo project from chbnk — no investors, no growth team, no roadmap committee. Just one developer who got tired of clunky calorie apps and built the one he actually wanted to use.

The mission

Make tracking so easy you forget it's tracking.

Most calorie apps are built for obsessive trackers, not real people. You open the app, search "grilled chicken breast, 150g" for five minutes, give up, and never come back.

Jomi flips it. Instead of forcing you to adapt to the app, the app adapts to you. Just say what you ate, in your own words. Jomi does the rest.

Radical simplicity

If something takes more than 5 seconds, it gets redesigned. No exceptions.

No shame, no judgment

Jomi is a supportive buddy, not a food cop. Consistency over perfection, always.

The story

One frustrated dev,
one notebook, one idea.

Jomi started in 2026 when the founder — a software engineer and hobby cook — realized that every nutrition app he tried demanded more discipline to operate than to actually eat well. After yet another abandoned streak, he opened a notebook and wrote: "What if you could just tell it what you ate?"

With modern language models finally able to understand natural food descriptions, the idea had a foundation. Nights and weekends turned into a working app, with its own tiny studio name: chbnk.

It's still just one person writing the code, drawing the fox, and answering your emails. That's not a limitation — it's the point. Every decision stays close to the people who actually use Jomi.

Team of one

The whole company.

Founder · Developer · Designer · Support · Fox-wrangler

Solo indie developer building Jomi end to end — the AI, the app, the website, and the little green mascot you keep seeing. Believes the best UX is no UX, and that a calorie app should feel like a friend, not a spreadsheet.
